HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I hope everyone had a fantastic vacation! Thank you so much for all of the
gifts and cards! Everyone was very generous and I am so thankful for
everything I recieved!
In Social Studies we will be learning about customs, holidays, and
celebrations around the world. Studens will learn about specific events that
take place in towns, cities, countries, or religions. We will discuss
different ways that cultures celebrate and compare and contrast them with one
another. Student's will also reflect upon how they celebrate.
In math we will continue to work on the multiplication times tables. With
each passing week students are expected to memorize more time tables and
improve the rate at which they can recall their facts. Each week there will
be timed tests to assess each student.
For read aloud we will be reading Harry the Poisonous Centipede. This book
was given to our class by Ms. Streeter who observed us for two weeks earlier
this year. She enjoyed reading this book with her son and wanted to share the
book with our class. We are so lucky!
Remember, it is very cold outside so it is important to stay warm and dry.
This means bringing: boots, mittens, hats, scarves, warm jackets etc.
I can't wait for all of the fun we are going to have in January!! :)
