FIRST GRADE EXPECTATIONS
Homework: The children will have Math homework four nights a week.
It will be labeled P.S. (please sign). Any other work expected to
be done at home and returned to school will also be labeled P.S.
If a child is missing homework it will be made up during recess the
next day after which they go out to play. WHEN SIGNING PLEASE DO
NOT PRINT.
Birthdays: If your child would like to celebrate the day in school with
treats PLEASE send a note ahead of time to make sure there are
no other plans and/or other birthdays on the same day. Please
send napkins and no whole cakes. Fruit, popsicles cookies are
always a good choice.
Grading: The children will receive progress reports and report cards
through the year. They are graded by: Outstanding-Satisfactory-
Needs improvement and Unsatisfactory.
Daily papers are checked and reutrned. We will certainly
contact you if there is need for concern any time through the
year.
Names: Please label all clothing especially sweaters, P.E. uniforms
lunch boxes and paper lunch bags.
Uniforms: The children are expected to be in full uniform. Please check
the handbook.
Papa Gino's: Envelopes go home on Monday to be returned Tuesday to be
enjoyed Thursday. Please return with the child's name, number
of slices and the correct payment inside. On Thursday the
child will be given the envelope back (minus money) for the
number of slices ordered. Pizza may NOT be ordered on the day
it is served.
Voice Mail: If you need to leave a message for Mrs. Nancy the munber is 30.
Sister Kathleen's number is 29.
We try to answer our voice mails in a timely manner, however
sometrimes it will be the next day so PLEASE do not leave a
message about that day's dismissal. Please leave that message
With Mrs. Daly in the office.
Art: Please send an oversized tee shirt that can be used as your
child's "smock" for Art
