During the month of November the church has set this month aside to remember All Souls. If you have anyone that you would like to be prayed for or remembered please send their names into the school. We will include them in our daily prayers during this month.

On Friday October 16th Saint Francis Xavier held its' Ist Annual Wine Tasting at Cafe Funchal and sponsored by Cardoza's Wine and Spirits. It was a wonderful evening and surpassed by wildess dreams. I would like to thank my committee for all their hard work in making this evening such a success. To all the members of the PTO who volunteered their time. To Distinction for their talent and music . A special THANK YOU,   to all who sponsored us and to all who attended. Pictures of the event can be seen on our website under photos.  

 

                                                                    Thanksgiving Day

Will fall on the 26th November in the year 2009. Celebrated as the national holiday in th United States to commemorate the the harvest reaped by the Plymouth Colony in 1621 after a winter of great starvation and privation, this day was proclaimed as Thanksgiving Day in that year itself by the then Governor  William Bradford and the feast was shared by all the colonists and the neighboring Native Americans. Since then, the tradition of observing the Thanksgiving Day has continued. George Washington proclaimed the first Thanksgiving Day on November 26th, 1789.  (www.thanksgivingworld.com)
