When is registration for next year?

Registration for the school year 2009-2010 is open during the 
school year. Students are accepted as long as there is availibity.

What is the age for Kindergarten?

All child must turn 5 by August 31.

What is the Per-school like?

We have two pre-schools Pre-1 and Pre-2. Both pre-schools have 
either full 
or half day sessions. The pre-schools at Saint Francis are held 
according to 
the academic calendar. The hours are from 8:15 to 2:20pm. The pre-
schools 
curriculum is one of social as well as academic. There is also a 
variety of 
days that one could use in the pre-1(ONLY) 1 or 2 days combos are 
available 
age for pre-1 is 2.9 months.

When is Open House?

Open House is usually during Catholic Schools Week. Which takes 
place during 
the last week of January. You can visit the school and arrange a  
tour 
anytime, just call the school at 508-995-4313.

What is the curriculum like?

All the curriculum are developed to the Massachusetts 
Standards.As well as 
to the Diocesan Standards. Saint Francis is an accredited school 
by the New 
England Association of Schools and Colleges, INC.

What is the class size?

Class size maximum of 25. Larger classes would be the exception 
and not 
the norm. In the Pre-school there is a primary teacher and an aid 
for every 
10 
students.

What is tuition?

Tuition for 2009-2010is $3,000 plus $300 Fundraising obligation 
pre-family.
 There is also a $100 non-refundable registration fee. 
There is a different tuition fee for Pre-1 and Pre-2 call the 
school for 
those quotes.

How does one pay tuition?

Tuition may be paid in two ways either in full, or by using FACTS 
which is a 
tuition collection agency on 10 or 11 month payments. This amount 
is taking 
directly from your bank or checking account.

What classes are still open for enrollment?

The following classes still have room for students. Kindergarted 
3,4,5,6,7, All the other classes have waiting lists.

Can students who may be interested in the school visit the school?

Students who are interested in the school may spend a day 
shadowing to see 
how the school operates. This day is anyday that is convenient 
for the 
student.

Are there other subjects offered at St. Francis besides academics.

Saint Francis offers a music class from grades k to 5. Grades 
3,4,5 learn to 
play the recorder. We have art classes and an annual Art Fair. 
Saint Francis 
also offers computer classes.Aslo a Science Fair and History 
Fair.The 8th and 7th grades also have Latin during the week.

What about sports.

Saint Francis has a weekly gym class. the Greater New Bedford 
Catholic 
Schools are looking to form a sport league.
