The invertebrate reports were presented and the accompanying video clips were shown. It was so amazing to hear each report read and then to see the invertebrates come to life when each video clip was projected onto the white board! The students were in awe by the traits of these invertebrates and the way they moved, hunted and ate prey, escaped from predators, and reproduced. Both classes received wonderful compliments from Sr. Ellen, who covered for me. I couldn't agree more after reading their reports!
Next on the agenda is for the students to design an invertebrate creature using the knowledge they gained from their own research as well as that learned from their classmates' presentations and video clips. They are about to create a brand new fantasy world of invertebrates! They will also be writing a report about their creatures and will present them to the class.
