Halloween project on rounding to the nearest ten cents and dollar.

MATH - two worksheets
#1 - Estimate and add or subtract from a table. Do 3-6.
#2 - Practice Addition and Subtraction Word Problems with Estimation
for Friday's test.
RETURNED TESTS: MATH - ROUNDING WHOLE NUMBERS AND DECIMALS
Last week, I wasn't here to review the math and strategies for the
test, and many of the grades reflected it. I went over the test today,
so the students could see where their errors occurred and to give them a
chance to ask any questions. One main problem was they did not use any
strategies that were taught. I reviewed everything and am going to give
them a chance to retake a new test next Tuesday at extra help. Normally,
I do not do this but due to my absence, I think it is necessary. I asked
the students to have their tests signed and returned if the grade was
below a 70 so that you are aware of the situation. I expect better grades
next week and will not count this test assuming the grade is higher.
I emphasized to both classes that in order to be successful in math,
they need to review their notes every night and look at past assignments
and strategies for reinforcement and retention.
