God is good!

We are now entering the 2013 part of our school year, and we look forward to celebrating Catholic Schools Week at the end of January. We continue to appreciate the support of our school parents as together we encouarge each of our students to strive to be their best and to achieve success in learning. As we continue to encourage and support our young learners, let us continue to work together – school and home to foster the development of good learning habits.

As a Catholic school, St. Margaret School supports and encourages parents in the faith development of their child (ren). We continue to encourage all families to participate each Sunday in our worship at the 9:00 Family Mass at St. Margaret Church.

Please check out the teacher "webpages" to keep you informed of what your children are learning, due dates, and helpful resources. Also check out the links to learning resources available on our St. Margaret School and our St. Margaret Parish websites, take a look – it is simply a “click” on the side menu to the left. There are multiple resources on the website – video and audio to allow us to know more about curriculum resources and our Church.

We welcome parents and others as volunteers. Please check with the main office for CORI forms and dates for Virtus Training sessions. There is a link to St. Margaret Parish's website listing dates and times that Virtus training schedules are planned in Greater Lowell Parishes. Virtus Training sessions are open to all who register. Registration is important for the planning of space and materials for these sessions.

SHOEBOX RECYCLING

SMS has partnered with Shoebox Recycling to give your old shoes a new life. We have collected 159 pairs of shoes – 5 boxes worth – and shipped them to Shoebox Recycling. They will sort the shoes and refurbish them and then send them out for reuse all around the world. Thank you for contributing to our shoe drive and for teaching our children about the 3R’s – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle! Please note that this shoe drive is ongoing – we will be collecting shoes through the end of the school year. So, clean out your closets and as your family outgrows their shoes, send them in to school to go in the collection box! Ask family and friends if they have shoes they no longer need or want. Every little bit helps!
