Our Mission

Academic excellence, character development, and commitment to service challenge students to reach their full potential in an ever changing world.

Welcome to St. Thomas the Apostle School! It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce you to our school community.

Since 1932, this educational facility has been staffed by Sisters of St. Joseph and many very dedicated lay teachers. It possesses a rich and vibrant tradition where thousands of students have received a solid academic background and deep appreciation for the teachings of our Catholic faith. So many graduates of our school have made remarkable contributions to society in every walk of life.

We view our commitment to Catholic education as a service to the Church, to the children and to our parents. Since parents are the first and primary educators of their children, our role is one of supplementing what is given to the child at home. We strive to maintain a strong partnership between the home and school.

St. Thomas, accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, houses twenty classrooms, a state-of-the-art science lab, a modern fully automated library, technology lab and recently refurbished gymnasium/cafeteria. Our facility also is air-conditioned. We are blessed in so many ways!

We welcome you to browse through our web site, to meet our teachers and to catch some of the spirit which we enjoy each and every day. We would be delighted to have you as a part of our St. Thomas family.
Sr. Patty Hottin, SSJ
