Homework Policy:
Students will be assigned about 20 minutes of
homework Monday through Thursday. However, if we do not have school on a
weekday, due to a holiday or professional development, students will not be
assigned homework the night before. In addition, to assigned homework,
second grade students should be reading 15-20 minutes per night. We ask
that
you please check your child's binder and agenda book for assignments each
night.
Homework Suggestions:
1. Please check that your child has put his/her name on their paper.
2. Check for your child's best work.
3. Find a quiet spot for your child to do his/her homework.
4. When your child is asked to do a "Star of the Week" paper, please be
sure they include their name and a colored picture.
*Note about Spelling:
Please have your child return their spelling books the next day. ONLY do
the first homework in the book. The second assignment is for Thursday
night. Every night they have spelling homework they should be writing their
words first down the left hand side of the page!

Tuesday: Spelling
Wednesday: More Function Machines (with fractions)
Thursday: Spelling
Friday: Change your child's agenda bookmark for next week!
