The Hugh Scott Streiber Memorial School PTO would like to welcome all the
current and new members. Our Streiber PTO helps to keep students, teachers,
and parents informed and involved in school activities.
In September your child will bring home a Chocolate Bar Fundraiser.
As our major source of income for the year, it provides the funds needed for
assemblies, field trips, holiday programs and end of year activities. Your
participation ensures a year of exciting programs for your child/children.
In October we have our annual Open House on Octoberr 1st. We need many
bakers for our bake sale.
We also will be holding our annual Membership Drive. It only cost $5 to join
and gives you discounts on every school event.
We will be having our Meet & Greet for our newest members of Streiber the
Kindergarteners. Come & meet your childrens new friends and their parents.
Great parenting networking evening!
Our Halloween Party is a wonderful event which the children have a ball!
Dave Munson has the hallway decorated with candy stations. We also have
games, arts & crafts in the cafetorium. Price to be determined based on
membership.
We will be selling Holyoke Mall's Majical Night Of Giving tickets again this
year which will take place on November 22nd. Those tickets are also $5.
On November 7th we will be having our 2nd Annual Barnes & Noble Book Fair set
up by Paula Dumas. All friends & family members can shop for the day & a
portion of your purchases goes directly to our school.
December is a busy month for PTO. All Streiber students will have an
opportunity to visit Santa Shop set up by Missy Carriveau & Debbie Schwartz.
Budget friendly items are offered for sale. The children love the
opportunity to shop for mom, dad, family members and even the family pets.
Also in December is the annual Evening with Santa. This is always a sell
out event at Streiber. The event features a meal, a raffle, sleigh ride and
more. Possibly a special visit from a man in red.
The PTO completes the school year with Fun Day, and last day school
activities and awards for the 5th graders who are moving on to middle school.
Other activities will be planned throughout the school year. In the past
these activities have included movie nights, swim parties, candy counting
contests, Easter Egg Hunt, BINGO for books, and various educational
assemblies and field trips.
There is plenty of opportunity for involvement in your PTO. You can show
your support by attending monthly meetings and providing valuable input.
You can work behind the scenes by baking for special events. You can be
involved during the day as a classroom volunteer or helping with any of the
planned activities. Please come and share your talents and enthusiasm with
others.
