When are extra help sessions held?

Extra help is typically held on Wednesday mornings before school 
from 7:50-
8:35 A.M.  Students will receive a permission slip for your 
signature.  Your 
prompt return of that slip allows me to have the appropriate 
materials 
available.  The easiest access to the building in inclement 
weather would be 
the cafeteria doors which are open for daycare.

If my child is absent, when is their homework due?

Children are expected to have their make-up work completed and 
returned 
within the same number of days they are absent (Example: out 2 
days, work is 
due within 2 days of return).

Should I assist with homework?

Definitely help them to be sure they comprehend the directions.  
If 
necessary start them off.  Homework is assigned to reinforce 
skills worked 
on in class.  Be assured  that nothing is sent home that hasn't 
been covered 
in class, so hopefully once started they will be able to finish 
the 
assignment.  
If they have serious difficulties, please do not hesitate to send 
a note in. 
Please encourage them to always do their best  by working 
carefully and 
neatly!

What is an appropriate snack?

We will have a 10 minute working snack each morning, therefore 
snacks should 
be nutritious, quick, and since we are working - mess free!  We 
are working 
on eating healthy snacks that are discussed in health class: 
fruit, cheese, 
granola bars, etc.
