Hopefully you received a letter in the mail a few weeks ago listing supplies
you will need. You will find a copy of that list under the supplies tab.
This year the food services department will not be sending home menus. You
can find the menu on the Uxbridge Public Schools site. Enjoy your last few
days of vacation. I'll see you soon.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Auciello
SUMMER BIRTHDAYS
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Jenna, Tara, Matthew, Samuel, and Ethan who all celebrated
their special day over the summer. We hope you had fun!
SPECIAL ATTENTION
PLEASE REMEMBER: We do have a student with a peanut allergy in the
classroom! Please be sure to keep this in mind whenever any food is sent in
for celebrations, etc.
MATHEMATICS
It is critical that they KNOW their basic addition and subtraction facts as
we start the year. This was their only assignment over the summer. Please
practice EVERY NIGHT for at least 10 minutes. It will make a difference and
will provide a stonger background as we move forward with other skills,
preparing for the mathematics MCAS test in the spring. We will be working
diligently on learning multiplication facts in the near future.
Be sure to check out the new links for math web sites.
OPEN CIRCLE
We are an Open Circle classroom. Hopefully your children are discussing
this program with you. We will have several Open Circle lessons each
week.
TEXT BOOKS
The students will be coming home with all of their text books (5) the first
few days of school. Hopefully you'll find a moment to look over our
curriculum. ALL text books are to be covered immediately. Students seem to
like the stretch fabric covers, however any NON-STICK sturdy paper cover
will do.
If you need a refresher in making book covers check out the attached
file in the DOCUMENTS tab.
