| The foundation of the Adapted Physical Education Program for the Uxbridge
Public schools is based on the Adapted Physical National Standards (APENS),
Massachusetts State Health Frameworks and the National Association for
Sports and Physical Education Standards(NASPE). Activities that are selected
target the standards that are recommended. Thes standards allow the students
to develop physically, emotionally, and academcially. Student learning is a
continual process throughtout the year. Delivery of curriculum is through
aStandards Based Model utilizing differentiated and tiered instruction. The
models' instructional components that measure student learning and progress
are as essential questions, content/skills, learning activities, evidential
assessment and benchmarks/rubrics.
