Let’s practice math addition and subtraction facts

each day this month. Do the math problem and use the answer to be active!

1 4 + 4 =

Make up a dance using this many steps. Now teach your dance to this many people.

2 6 – 1 =

Climb up and down the stairs this many times. Do this before and after supper too!

3 9 + 1 = Bounce a ball this many times with your left hand, and then your right hand. Practice bouncing ten different times after school.

4 10 – 3 =

Jump this many times and try to make the jump go far. Use a marker to see how far you can go. Can you beat your farthest jump?

5 2 + 1 =

Go outside today and play this many games with friends.

6 9 – 2 =

Find this many ways to move across your yard.

7 1 + 2 =

Play trash can basketball with this many friends.

8 10 – 3 =

Do this many curl ups. Now do this in every room of your house.

9 9 + 4 =

Practice leaping over something this many times. Try it again leaping with the other foot leading.

10 8 – 3 =

Spin this many times in one direction. Now go the other way. Can you balance on one foot when you are done?

11 6 + 7 =

Do this many jumping jacks. Now do them before and after every meal today.

12 9 – 8 =

Get this many adults and go out for a nice long power walk.

13 4 + 4 =

Soccer practice! Use a ball outside to make this many kicks to a partner. Do it again!

14 8 – 5 = Run this many laps around your house outside. Wear your hat and gloves if it is cold.

15 1 + 3 =

Turn on some music and dance for the whole song. Dance for this many songs.

16 4 – 3 =

Play catch with this many people. Throw and catch the ball and count to 50.

Roll up a towel and put it on the floor. Jump over it this many times. Practice jumping again after supper.

18 10 – 3 =

Think of this many animals and write them down. Now walk just like these animals would. Animal walks are so much fun!

19 4+ 8 =

Play catch with somebody using a small stuffed animal. Make this many catches.

20 5 + 5 =

Play the game "I See" with a friend and move around like this many things.

21 6 – 1 =

Move around your yard in a circle doing something different each time. Do this many different kind of moves.

22 8 + 2 =

Do this many of your favorite exercises.

23 10 – 7 =

Balance fun! Try to balance on this many different body parts.

24 6 + 6 =

Jump rope this many times. First jump slow and steady. Then jump as fast as you can. How many times can you do this?

25 8 – 2 =

Try to make your body into the shape of this number. Can you do it lying down? Standing up?

26 6 + 6 =

Move like this many different things that roll.

27 7 – 1 =

Pretend you are a snake. Slither around the house to this many different places.

28 4 + 9 =

Pretend you are a balloon floating in the air. Float around outside and touch this many different things in your yard.

29 2 – 1 =

Play this many games with your friends today at recess.

30 6 + 5 =

Strike a balloon up 20 times with this many different body parts.

31 8 – 2 =

Take turns with a friend posing as statues. Make this many different statues.
