How does the PTO accomplish these programs?
#1 Volunteers! - The membership of the PTO is you, the parents, in
coordination with the teachers. Parents, grandparents, and friends help to
coordinate and execute each and every aspect of what we do. Without your
contribution of time, even if 1/2 hour is all you can give, we are able to
provide more to the children of the Taft and Early Learning Centers.
#2 Donations/Money - All of our fundraising efforts are voluntary. We try
to consider a wide variety of options that will appeal to just about
everyone in the school community. While you may chose to participate in all
or none of the actual fundraisers, we do appreciate any donation of items
and/or money that you can afford to give. Every little bit helps!
#3 Teachers and Staff ~ While most of our volunteers are parents, we do love
to involve our teachers and staff. So often we are generously assisted by
the many teachers and staff members of the school community, include
cafeteria and custodial assistance.
#4 Community Involvement ~ Without the community members' donations and
support, we would not be able to provide many of our activities and fun
events.
How can I become a member of the Uxbridge Elementary PTO?
Parent and teacher attendance at the monthly PTO meetings is very
important. The PTO is comprised of, and decisions are made by, the parents
and teachers in attendance. Your participation and creativity is welcomed
and encouraged each month. Also, by committing to even just one
fundraising, event or task, you can provide supports for the students,
teachers and staff of your child's school.
We all have something to contribute - please consider giving back to the
students of Taft Elementary and ELC.
