Here's what we've been doing in science lately!
We filled three balloons with water and froze them overnight. We used salt and warm water to stick the ice-balls together to make a snowman. Then we created a chart talking about this experiment and made estimations to how long it would take our "ice"man to melt!
Ms. B and the kids dressed him up!
At dismissal- he's still kicking!
We'll try this again next week, and use different items (salt, sugar, water, the heater) to see what makes him melt faster. We will also make new estimates about how long it will take him to melt- now that we know it will be longer than 5 seconds, but much shorter than 6 days! :)
