Patriots win over Cunniff community

Cunniff Kids News reporters
took a poll of people of all ages
about which team they thought
would win Super Bowl XLII between
the New England Patriots and the
New York Giants.
Of the 57 people polled, 55
thought the Patriots would win
Sunday in Arizona.
Elaine Antonellis, an
instructional assistant at the
school, said, "As long as Tom
Brady stays in the game, we will
win."
Another adult said she
thought, "the Patriots would
win in the last two
minutes."
Fourth-grader Daniel M. made
a prediction: "Randy Moss is
going to dive and catch a
pass."
Most people (42 percent)
thought the Patriots would win by
more than 11 points. (See graph
at right.)
Andrea B., a fifth-grader,
said, "Hopefully, they'll win by
a million points."
Although the two Giants fans
were females, the male and female
Patriots fans had almost
identical predictions (see graph
below).
Nearly everyone polled, like
fifth-grader Sam F., thought the
Patriots were going to win and
finish the season undefeated: "I
think that we're going to win
because ... the Patriots are
awesome."
