Or how about gotten a silly band from the egg of a Cyclops? There are many exciting and unique characters to be found at the Faire. One of these people is King Richard himself, who has reigned over the grounds for about 10 years. He wears a red robe and has a white beard.<BR> <DIV align=center><IMG style="WIDTH: 392px; HEIGHT: 356px" height=356 alt=krf-ckn10.JPG src="krf-ckn10.JPG" width=392 border=0></DIV> <BR> </FONT><BR style="TEXT-INDENT: 0px! important"> <FONT face=Tahoma>     His loyal bodyguard, Seamus Kiely, protects King Richard. Seamus has protected the kings for over 25 years.</FONT><BR style="TEXT-INDENT: 0px! important"> <FONT face=Tahoma>     You can also find jousters at this event.  Jousters are warriors on horses with large swords, who try to knock each other off their horses.  Some of these brave men are Sir Joseph, Lord of Lincoln, and Sir James, Lord of Dartmouth. The warriors have to wear armor that weighs more than 75 pounds!<BR> <BR> <DIV align=center><IMG style="WIDTH: 323px; HEIGHT: 477px" height=477 alt=krf-ckn4.JPG src="krf-ckn4.JPG" width=323 border=0></DIV> <BR> </FONT><BR style="TEXT-INDENT: 0px! important"> <FONT face=Tahoma>     But this is not even the most dangerous yet exciting event.  The jugglers are a sight to see.  You may have seen other jugglers toss knives, but these jugglers juggle both knives and objects on fire. </FONT><BR style="TEXT-INDENT: 0px! important"> <FONT face=Tahoma>     Steve and Ryan make up Juggle This! When asked what their favorite part of the job is, they replied,  “Making people laugh and making money.” They also said, “Juggling is complicated and that juggling fire is harder than juggling an elephant.''<BR> <BR> <DIV align=center><IMG alt=krf-ckn8.JPG src="krf-ckn8.JPG" border=0></DIV> <BR> <BR>      Speaking of fire, Jacques Ze Whippeur wields a whip and he also sets it on fire.  His whip skills are so prodigious that he is able to whip sticks that he is holding in his mouth.</FONT><BR style="TEXT-INDENT: 0px! important"> <FONT face=Tahoma>     This man is not the only one to use sticks in his act.  Chip Rascal is a stilt walker.  He said he became a stilt walker because his legs were too big for his body as a child, and his mother hung him upside down to stretch him out. They seem to be not very smart. They don’t know how to say the alphabet or how to spell their names. (They made a picture instead of writing their name.) But they like to sing and they are very funny.<BR> </FONT> <DIV align=center><IMG alt=krf-ckn5.JPG src="krf-ckn5.JPG" border=0></DIV> <BR> <BR style="TEXT-INDENT: 0px! important"> <FONT face=Tahoma>     There is also a tall talking tree. His name was Entwhistle. He has humongous hands! “Once a lady came up to me and asked me to take a picture with me holding a baby,” he said.</FONT><BR style="TEXT-INDENT: 0px! important"> <FONT face=Tahoma>     In Carvershire, the town crier is a real live gnome! He even has a tail.  His name is Ivan Beenabout Clayton III. According to King Richard himself, it means, “Yippee!” or “Hooray!”<BR>      </SPAN><SPAN style="LETTER-SPACING: 0px">The Faire opens Saturday, Sept. 4, and runs every weekend and holiday until Oct. 24. This is the 29th year of the Renaissance Faire. The fairgrounds cover 80 acres in Carver, Mass., and renamed “Carvershire.”</SPAN></P> <P style="MARGIN: 0px; FONT: 14px Helvetica; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal"><SPAN style="LETTER-SPACING: 0px">     At the Faire will be tigers, flames, dukes, kings, queens, whips, jousters, and jugglers.
