Ms. Russo is Coordinator of Vocational Programming for Watertown High School,
grades 5-12. Since September of 1985, she has been teaching 22 years and has a
Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, Human Development Major, Education Minor
in Special Needs(5-12), a Masters Special Education grades 5-12 and Special
Education Certifications. Her educational philosophy is based upon the
following:" Always be supportive of high standards and high expectations,
encouragement rather than punishment, reward instead of discipline".
The Work Based Learning and Transition Program provides students with an
educational experience that fosters academic growth, social
responsibility,community awareness,and future possibilities. Students who
enter this program do so voluntarily with a commitment to the program ideals
of academic achievement and planning towards pursuing a productive future after
graduating from High School. Students are committed in their academic pursuit
and obtaining meaningful employment, the program helps to nuture a respect for
others and respect for self.
