A little bit about me...

I grew up right here in Watertown, MA! I went to the Lowell School as a child, and my family still
lives in town. My mother teaches 4th grade here at the Hosmer School, and my sister teaches
Pre-K in upstate New York. You could say that I was bred to be a teacher!

I have worked in a variety of different roles for the Watertown Public Schools for the past 12
years. I have held positions as an after-school program supervisor, summer school teacher for
students with special needs, literacy/math tutor, instructional assistant, and student teacher.
Being in the classroom full-time as an instructional assistant is what inspired me to continue my
education at Lesley University in Cambridge. In December 2009, I received my Master's in Early
Childhood Education and Creative Arts in Learning.

Outside of teaching, one of my biggest hobbies is fitness and exercise. I teach aerobics and
kickboxing classes at the YMCA, and work out or run almost every day. In April of 2010 I completed the
Boston Marathon! My other passion is photography. You will see this in my classroom, and on my
website. I take photos of the kids, and use photography to document their learning every day. I also
freelance weddings and small photography jobs (although this has gone
on hold since adopting your children for the majority of the year!)

I am looking forward to a fabulous year together!
