Welcome to Ms. Brown's website!
Kindergarten is a year filled with fun, laughter, games, arts & crafts,
friendships, and more!
As a K team, we focus on social skills of the students, as well as helping
each student succeed academically.
WELCOME SPRING!
This spring we will be learning about gardens, flowers & insects! We are
learning about our community and the world around us. We have gone on "nature
walks" around the school to use our five senses.
Special Events:
In March we had a great time celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday! We all wore PJs
to school, had a guest reader (the Cat in the Hat himself!!) and read
Bartholomew and the Oobleck. After, we made our very own Oobleck by mixing
corn starch, water and food coloring.
Our gym teacher, Ms. Donohue, gave all the students in the school a special
egg hunt to celebrate spring. Children were encouraged to bring some spare
change in to donate to the American Diabetes Association. All students were
allowed to grab 10 eggs. Most of them had candy, but 3 special eggs had
golden tickets which meant those children won special prizes (jump rope,
paddle ball set & scooter)! The class had a great time!
To learn about community helpers and fire safety, we had fire fighters from
the Watertown Fire Department come to visit. To see more about what we
learned, go to the Pictures! section of the website.
