About your Guidance Counselor:
After interning at the J.R. Lowell Elementary
School through the aftermath of 9/11 and falling in love with the Lowell
community of educators and families, I've had the pleasure of being a part of
Watertown Public School's guidance team since September 2002. I have special
interests in helping students understand their resilience and supporting
parents and guardians through the various stages of parenting. I also believe
in the importance of building empathy and respect in our children. Having
spent my own childhood in three different countries, I treasure diversity and
hope to impart a deep appreciation of differences in our students.
Prior to entering public education, I spent a
decade in the nonprofit world, supporting individuals through their vocational
rehabilitation process. In-between those years, I took a brief detour into the
training and development in the corporate world. The combination of these
experiences generated the inspiration for a career in Guidance.
