Peer Mediation

What is Peer Mediation?

Peer Mediators are students helping students. They walk other students
through the conflict resolution process. They are great at not taking sides
and getting each participant to listen to the other person. The Mediators
help students name their feelings and support the students as they come up
with win-win solutions for themselves.

Students who come to mediation are asked to follow some ground rules:
o To work to solve the problem
o To tell the truth
o No put-down or name-calling
o No (physical)fighting
o Not to interrupt each other

Everything that happens in a mediation session is kept confidential unless it
is dangerous or destructive.

Please see "Forms" link for a referral to mediation form.
