Each week we work on different phonics skills, such as short i and final x . I will send home two decodable readers addressing each of those skills and sightwords. These readers are used to build fluency and should be practiced each night.

 Each time your child reads to you, a brother, a sister, a stuffed animal, a pet etc. sign the back.  When he/she has ten signatures return the book and earn five cents. Then the book will go back home to keep for practice.
