Spelling tests are on Friday mornings and will be given in the form of dictation. Your child is only responsible for the core and review core words.
Uppercase beginnings, uppercase "I", uppercase beginnings of names, and end marks will be expected.

Spelling tests will come home on Mondays and your child will be expected to correct any incorrect words before they go home.  However you can see the total score in the upper right hand corner. (how many correct/total words).

Challenge words will be tested separately. These are words that are chosen from the weekly skills and will be tested in "list form". This will give me an idea of skills that might need more work.

Bonus words will be tested in sentence formation. I will ask you child to write their own sentence using the bonus word. The bonus word is chosen from the amazing words of the week.
