What are the class expectations?
1. Be on time
2. Be Prepared
3. When the bell rings, you should be in your seat with your homework out,
your notebook open, and completing the problem of the day.
*** If you do not have your homework, your agenda book should be open to
the previous day.
4. Be respectful to yourself and others
* listen quietly, raise your hand, & be polite
5. Stay seated unless you are given permission
6. Use your "inner voices" especially in lab groups
7. HOMEWORK should be complete and passed in ON TIME
What should I bring to class?
1. a writing instrument (pen or pencil)(Math requires a pencil only)
2. your binder
3. any supplies that I recommened for that specific lesson
4. homework
What should my binder look like?
Your binder should have:
* 5 subject dividors (labeled with subjects)
* loose leaf paper
* folder
* hole reinforcers
Recommend:
* a clip in pencil case
* a clip in hole puncher
What are the consequences?
First Offense:
Strike 1
Second Offense:
Strike 2: Behavior Card is sent home
Third Offense:
Strike 3 & a Teacher Detention
Fourth Offense:
Sent to the office with a Conduct Card
What are my homework and classroom responsibilities?
1. Homework is to be completed and passed in on time.
* If not, you will have one day to pass it in for 1/2 credit.
* After that, you will receive a permanent zero for that assignment.
2. If you are absent:
* Your homework & classwork must be completed within one week.
* Look for make-up work in the weekly class work red divider
* You will be paired up with a classmate inorder to record the missing
notes and agenda assignment.
3. If you are falling behind, ask for HELP. On certain days, I will be
available after school. If you are unable to attend my session or having
difficulties, I encourage you to take part in the tutorial program. You
will be paired up with a student from UMASS Dartmouth who will help you
with your school work. They are flexible and work around your schedule.
The charge $12/hr.
