Dress Code

The School Committee requests that students be "neatly dressed and well
groomed at all times". Closed shoes, like sneakers, are the safest for
students who are up and down stairs, and active at recess on the
playground. Shoes need to have some type of fastening, such as laces, straps
or velcro, to keep the shoes on students' feet and not slip or slide as they
walk. Students need to know how to fasten their own footwear. Shoulders
should be covered.

Not permitted:
--tank tops, belly shirts, or shirts advertising tobacco, drugs, alcohol,
violence or those with obscene or questionable printing on them.
--open-backed sandals, flip-flops, and other "summer" foot attire
   --shoes with hidden wheels
--shoes that raise the student's height, i.e., platforms, high heels
