Quizzes:
You will be quizzed approximately six to eight times per quarter.
Many quizzes are not announced ahead of time. The lowest quiz
grade per quarter is dropped.
Tests:
There are between two to four tests per quarter. I will give you
between five and seven days notice for a test.
I would strongly suggest that you seek extra help from me. Extra
help is offered on Wednesday after school from 2:25 PM to 3:00
PM (or on Thursday for period 5). Other days are available by
appointment. I will do
everything I can to provide you with support and help you to
succeed in class. Re-taking a quiz or test is considered on a
case by case basis.
I want to see the work because I need to assess that you know the
process for finding the solution. Showing the process is also to
your advantage because I may be able to give you partial credit.
I suggest that you get extra practice. Do some problems again
that were completed on the board (make sure you have the correct
solution written down for reference. It could also include
completing example problems that are shown in your textbook.
Finally, keep a record of problems and concepts you are unsure
of. See me during extra help with any problems you want explained.
