About The Teacher

I have been teaching for 7 years in the special education field. I have my
Masters in Special Education, Moderate Needs, grades 5-12, from Fitchburg
State College. I have my Certificate of Graduate Studies for Reading/English
Language Arts from Anna Maria College. I was certified in Special Education
in December 2005, and am currently working on my Reading Specialist
licensure. I have been working for the Uxbridge School District for four
years. I have chosen Reading to teach because I love to read, and would like
to pass on this love to others through teaching strategies and techniques
that would help them be successful readers. My training includes Wilson
techniques, Schools Attuned certification, Irlen Method Training, and
LindaMood Bell training. I am currently looking into certification for
Neuroscience and Dyslexia.

Mission For The Class

The mission for this class is to teach students techniques and strategies
that would help them be successful in reading and their classes for their
school career. The goal is to have students become successful readers,
which in turn would help them be successful students.
