Guide pour les parents

Bonjour Parents!

This page is here to help parents successfully navigate this website, which I have tried to create mostly in French. If you have any questions, please contact me. My contact info is on the page entitled "Le Professeur." I hope that you find this website both interesting and useful.

  • IMPORTANT! The use of online translators is considered cheating if a student translates more than just a word. If a student needs help finding words at home, using a dictionary is perfectly acceptable, although it can be complicated! There is a very good online dictionary at wordreference.com, which is linked on the links page. Any paper that has , as a whole or in parts, been translated online will receive a ZERO and the student will have to redo it afterschool in detention. Work that is translated online is very easily recognizable, so please encourage your child to avoid this issue.

  • Each class has two websites, one for general information and one for homework. The general page has information about what we are doing in class (projects, readings, grammar...)for the month or the term. The homework page has a list of all the homework assignments given in each class and is updated constantly. Each class is named by level (2,4, or 5) and the 2 level classes are also named by period (D, E or F).
  • Homework assignments are generally given in French, so here are some words that you might see on the homework page:

. Faites = do

. Etudiez = study

. Lisez = read

. Ecrivez = write

. Repondez aux questions = answer the questions

. Recherchez = research

  • The "Annonces" page, the first page that you see on my website will be used to draw attention to any new information and anything important that I would like everyone to see.
  • The "Liens" pages will have links to websites that I think are interesting and might be beneficial to students. You will find the link to the website for our textbook there, which has self-quizzes and other activities.
