Groups 3 & 4 present their research projects. Be prepared to discuss "good American literature" tomorrow, as well as wrap up TSL discussion. I feel a writing assignment coming on...

Groups 1 & 2 present their research projects. Group discussion of homework--questions you composed about the last chapters or entire text of TSL.
Homework: ponder the following thought: What are the characteristics of good American literature? Prepare a list of at least ten characteristics. May be bullet points. Due 10/7.
Thursday, 10/2
Chapters 16-18 discussion. Presentations on Monday and Tuesday! Be prepared!
Homework: Finish TSL. Prepare one question on these last chapters of the book to pose to the class in a discussion. Type this question and its answer to hand in. Due 10/6.

If you choose to buy a copy of the text, we will be using the Dover Thrift edition. It has a black cover with red A's on it. Around $4.
