Thank you to all of the parents who gave of their time and efforts to make
our class Halloween party such a huge success! The students enjoyed the
delicious food, the apple juice, the treats, and the great gift bags! It was
so wonderful to have so many parents sharing, helping, and enjoying each
other's company as well.
Many students have been reading and recording the names of these books in
their 100 Book Club booklet. I have been giving students a sticker for their
sticker chart for every five books they read. We started last month with
the "Book It" program from Pizza Hut. Students will also earn a coupon for a
free Pizza Hut personal pan pizza when they read ten books in addition to the
two stickers they will get for their sticker chart. This will continue
through March. Each student may only earn one coupon per month, but it is a
new month, so your child should be working toward November's coupon!
Thank you for the support that you are providing at home each night with
the completion of homework. Each child is doing very well with coming into
the classroom on time and showing me their homework on their desk as they
copy the new day's homework into their agenda. We have earned many marbles
for following directions and for walking quietly in the halls and up the
stairs. We had our third Marble Jar Party and are very close to having our
FOURTH! I am very proud of our class. Thank you for sending me such
wonderful children to work with each day. :-)
