| SECTION C CLASS: All gradesheets for your class will be passed out next
Tuesday, February 18. This will allow for your test score and your classwork
scores to be calculated.
Seventh Grade has started something special for our school community.
Tuesday, January 22 all seventh graders were invited to join the Cradlerock
Seventh Grade Academy. The Academy bases its learning practices on five values:
Responsibility Enthusiasm Achievement Citizenship Honesty (REACH Values)
To uphold these values we will be practicing specific classroom routines,
insisting on students having a set procedure to follow in all classes for
homework collection and distribution, being on time and prepared to learn
throughout the school day.
Rewards and Consequences:
Students will receive two paw slips for every assignment turned in with their
Green Homework Folder.
Paw Slips will be collected and used to purchase an activity of choice for
Reward Day once every two weeks.
Students wearing the Academy T-shirt will be receive a reward every first day
of the week.
Star Awards will be given for students to place in the Seventh Grade hallway
to recognize A's and B's earned on assignments. When landmarks are reached
along the hallway a celebration will be held for the whole grade.
Students on -time and in line for class will be recognized. If a student is
late he/she must have a pass. If late to class the student will have to serve
a lunch detention.
Consequences
Lunch Detention is a silent class period for students to reflect on their
choices. Each individual will fill out a reflection form after eating their
lunch.
If Lunch Detention is NOT attended or served properly the student will have
Detention the next following day.
An Office Referral and Teacher-Student-Parent Intervention will take place if
a problem persists.
Unity Circle Celebration
The first day of every week, Seventh Graders will gather in the cafeteria for
ten minutes to celebrate achievement and progress with the REACH Values.
T-shirts are to be worn on this day to visibly show solidarity and commitment
to improving our school community.
