Homework

The following is a list of homework that your child is expected to complete
every week. If you have any questions please do no hesistate to contact me.

Every week a read aloud is sent home. Your child should read the passage to
you and then answer the questions. Feel free to help them answer them. A
focus on complete sentences that are specific would really help your child.
Also be sure to have them go back into the text to find answers instead of
trying to answer all questions from memory.

Every week math facts homework sheets should be done. 10 minutes of practice
every night and be sure to get the paper signed and turned in at the end of
the week.

Every week your child is required to complete one Spelling Assignment from
the list sent out at the beginning of the year. This is due on Fridays and
is a way to make sure your child is practicing their words. If you find that
your child is not doing well on the spelling test you may want them to do
several assignments to help them. Spellingcity.com is now a tool your child
can use to help them study. If they choose to do an activity from here
please just send in a note so I know their homework has been completed.

Every week your child will be working with 8 vocabulary words. Each
Wednesday flash cards should be made. Each Friday a sheet working with each
of the 8 words is due. Friday's will also be test days for the words of the
week.

Make sure if you did not finish writing assignments in class they are being
worked on at home.

Please be sure you are signing your child's agenda every night. This lets me
know that you know what their homework was, and that they are completing it
at home.
