RESEARCH CLASS INFORMATION
The students in the GT research class completed their first project which
was to investigate the meaning of their first and last name. They discovered
many interesting things about themselves. The students were to creatively
presented their names on a display and do an oral presentation to the class.
Our next project will be product research. After examining a Quaker Granola
bar and brainstorming ideas of how a product evolves, they selected their own
product to investigate. Through a written three page information paper the
students shared with the class what they found of interest about the product
they selected for their research.
HISTORY DAY PROJECT
We are beginning the process for our History Day project. Students in Mrs.
Stefan's GT classes will be selecting their topic in the next few weeks and
begin writing the process paper. This year's theme is Innovations in History:
Impact and Change. The website, www.nhd.org, is available for additional
information.
Writers Guild
Our Writers Guild is meeting weekly for an extensive instructional period for
advanced writing. These students have been highlighted as having exemplary
writing ability. They have submitted their most creative piece to our
Howard County Literary magazine.
