About Mrs. Fastovsky

Mrs. Fastovsky is the newest addition to Elkridge Landing Middle School,
having just joined the staff in August 2010.
She graduated from Towson University 2010 with a Bachelors Degree in Physical
Education after student teaching at Bushy Park Elementary(Howard county) and
Arbutus Middle School(Baltimore county). 

Mrs. Fastovsky was married October 2009 to her husband, Oleg Fastovsky, who is
an attorney that practices in the Baltimore and Howard County areas.  The
husband and wife recently moved to the Howard County area and live just down
the street from Elkridge Landing Middle School. 

Mrs. Fastovsky enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, friends and
numerous pets (2 dogs and 2 cats), and living a healthy and energetic
lifestyle.  This includes playing on various recreational sports leagues,
including Field Hockey, Floor Hockey and Broomball, which is a variation of
ice hockey that's played on an actual hockey ice rink.  

Mrs. Fastovsky further looks forward to becoming an integral part of Elkridge
Landing Middle School and is eager to take on the challenges and build the
relationships that her position has to offer. 

Mrs. Fastovsky joins Mr. Aquila and plans to have a productive, fun and
successful school year.

Physical Education Mission Statement

Elkridge Landing Middle School Physical Education is committed to educate
students to become lifelong learners of wellness by participating in
activities that develop behaviors which encourage good health, develop
appropriate social skills, and promote physical fitness in and outside the
educational setting.



Goals and Objectives:

Goal 1: To develop an acceptable level of fitness, an understanding of the
components of fitness through personalized physical education activities. 

Goal 2: To develop physical skills and to acquire knowledge of and an
appreciation for efficient and creative movement through participation.

Goal 3: To develop a more positive self concept, appropriate social and
emotional behaviors, self direction, and an appreciation for individual
differences.
