Be Smart!!! Use Howard County's S.M.A.R.T. page on a regular basis. The
Student Mathematics Activity Resource Tools (SMART) grant students access to
the same web-based activities and virtual manipulatives (or mathematics
concept tutorials) as those modeled or used by Mrs. R. These resources are
organized by grade level, marking period, and unit. How lucky are you to have
such an excellent resource!

Mathematicians are pattern makers. Have you ever heard of Pascal's Trinagle?
This is a wonderful interactive site where you can "color" many number
patterns. After trying a few of these, see if you can predict what the
finished pattern will look like before clicking on the multiples. Use the
"increase depth" option to get a bigger pictrue of the pattern. The Shodor
site is outstanding. We will be exploring it in depth this year!!!
