I, Mrs. Taylor, grew up in Marietta, Ohio. This is my fourth year teaching at
Ellicott Mills Middle School. I achieved my bachelors degree in
English from Marietta College (southeastern Ohio) and my masters degree in
Reading from Bowling Green State University (northwestern Ohio). Teaching has
forever been one of my passions and I am enthusiastic about teaching at
Ellicott Mills Middle School again this year. My hobbies include reading,
running, and following Ohio State football.

This year, we will be covering three units: 1.) Literature in the Tragic Mode,
the Sonnet, and the Ballad, 2.) Fiction/Science Fiction/Fantasy, and 3.)
Epics. It is my hope that every studentnwill grow to be a better
speaker,writer, reader, listener, and thinker, this year. This English class
will be challanging, but rewarding for each student,as each engages and
improves in the various literacies addressed in this course.
