Hi! I am so thrilled to be teaching at Ellicott Mills Middle School, and am
looking forward to a great year. I am a lifelong resident of Howard County,
and live in Columbia with my husband and two wonderful daughters.
I have previously taught in Prince George's County and Baltimore City. I
have taught 1st, 4th and 5th grades. I graduated from Johns Hopkins
University with a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in 2006.
When not in school, you can find me playing with my girls at the playground
or going for walks with my family. I also love to read, and am a BIG fan of
the Maryland Terps. In order to have a happy home life, I have also become a
fan of the Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Eagles. As a former
Journalism major, I am also a bit of a news junkie, and can often be found
watching CNN or MSNBC.
I believe my mission is to develop a lifelong love of learning, and reading
in your child. In order to do this, I will plan lessons and activities that
not only meet the educational goals of our school, but also are fun and
engaging for your child. I also believe that you are my partner in the
education of your child, and I welcome your input and questions.
