Welcome to 7th grade reading! To be successful this year it is important for each student to work to his or her potential, complete assignments fully and on time, and participate actively and appropriately in class. Please see the syllabus for the complete classroom guidelines and expectations. If at any time you, as a student or parent, have questions, concerns, or need any type of help on the work being done in reading, please feel more than welcome to contact me. I am happy to help and here to do so in order to ensure a successful year for all.

Please make sure to bring all supplies and homework to class each day. This includes paper for daily assignments and activities in class, and multiple writing utensils.

Our first unit this year will be Reading Informational Texts. We will work on strategies for successful reading, including before, during, and after reading strategies, text structures, and various note-taking procedures, among other skills and activities.
