| With the 4th and final quarter underway we will be working hard to complete
all of our objectives before the school year ends!
The 7th graders have completed their research and are in the process of
sharing their research findings with their classmates. I am very proud of hard
they all worked. It was nice to see them start to understand the different
aspects of both poverty in America and the research process. They will soon be
looking at the novel Tangerine and our final unit on Careers.
The 8th graders have been looking at interest inventories and how they relate
to high school, college and the world of work. We will be using the resumes we
created for “Mock” interviews very soon. The Giver will be the novel we focus
on next as we try to look at how societal concerns are expressed in literature.
Both grades should continue to look at the TeacherWeb page and TeacherEase to
monitor class activities and their grades.
