The three types of blood vessels are ARTERIES, VEINS AND CAPILLARIES. 6.Veins carry blood BACK TO THE HEART AND THE BLOOD IS USUALLY DE-OXYGENATED (LOW OXYGEN AND HIGH CARBON DIOXIDE) 7.Arteries carry blood AWAY FROM THE HEART AND THAT BLOOD IS OXYGENATED BECAUSE IT IS HIGH IN OXYGEN AND LOW IN CARBON DIOXIDE. 8.The three types of blood cells are PLATELETS, RED BLLOD CELLS AND WHITE BLOOD CELLS. 9.Red Blood cells PICK UP OXYGEN AND CARRY IT TO THE BODY CELLS. 10.White Blood Cells HELP TO FIGHT INFECTION. 11.Platelets HELP BLOOD CLOT. 12.All cells in the body are in contact with the smallest blood vessels called CAPILLARIES.
