 Good evening,
Tonight is Back to School Night! Thanks for joining us and meeting your child's teachers. Please subscribe to the newsflash by clicking the button at the bottom of this screen that says "SUBSCRIBE." Enter your email address and name into the appropriate boxes, and each time I update this website, you'll get an email telling you that there's been an update. Thanks!

Keeping In Touch:
TeacherEase, our online grade book program is up and running! Check out grades in real time using the program. Teachers will generally update grades as quickly as they can, but some grades may take as long as 2 weeks to be updated. Each teacher is different, so please understand!

If you need to get in touch
with me via email, you can reach me at sherri_morisco@hcpss.org. This information is also on the policy letter which many of you signed over the weekend when your student brought it home. I've removed the "Ask Ms. Morisco" button due to some confusion: If you don't put in an email address, then I can't respond to your question. If you have any questions for me, please email me at sherri_morisco@hcpss.org. Thank you.

This week in sixth grade we will officially begin learning the quarter one content: Air, Atmosphere, Water and Weather. In seventh grade we've already started reviewing our scientific method skills that we'll keep using and building on as the year goes by.

Hello All!
As we gear up for another year of school at Folly Quarter, I hope you peek around this website for more information. Here is where you will find information about upcoming projects and quizzes, links and helpful information, and study tips--something very important!

Just like last year, I'll be using TeacherEase again to record your grades in real-time. Grades are available on any computer with an internet connection at any time. You are responsible for your grade, so check TeacherEase often!

Homework will be posted on this site daily, but should only be used as a back up. To see the day's homework, as well as other things we did in class, check out the part of this site called "Today In Science Class." Students will need to copy down their homework into their agenda book each class. This website should only be used as a back up and in the event of an absence.

Parents: During the first week of class, students will be sent home with a policy letter. Please take the time to sit and review it with your child. The expectations for class will remain the same throughout the year. If you have any questions at any time, please always feel free to email me. To subscribe to this newsflash (you'll receive an email alerting you to an update,) just click the button below to sign up.

You may be wondering about which supplies from the supply list you'll need for science class. Well, here you go:

  • 1 pocket folder with BRADS (those are the three little clips in the center that hold papers in the folder) -paper is acceptable, plastic is recommended for its durability
  • colored pencils in a handful of colors - you will need them EVERY CLASS
  • pens and pencils (pens must have dark colored ink such as blue, black, dark green, etc...)
  • loose leaf paper
  • glue stick

Students should come prepared to learn each class, with all necessary materials. It's true:
Experienced Students and Space Travelers Agree:
A Lack of Preparation is a Prescription for Mishaps!
