Welcome Parents and Students of the 7th grade.
My name is Mr. Wroblewski in room 110.  I will be teaching 7th grade 
mathematics this year.  Parents are always welcome at Francis Scott Key.  I 
know that we will have a great school year and I look forward to meeting all 
of my parents and students.

Parents your child is bring home several items that must be signed and 
returned this week.  They are 
receiving an agenda book which they are to copy their homework in and it is 
there hall pass when they 
leave the classroom.  You need to fill out the following:
1) Code of Conduct Form
2) Student Information Form
3) Emergency Form for the Office

September 5, 2009
I want to let my 7th grade parents know why I was absent on Friday September 
4.  My 85 year old 
mother cancer has come back and I had to take her to the doctor office.  Her 
doctor informed us that 
my mother must have several more treatments for the cancer.  I am letting you 
know that I will have to 
be out on family leave on certain days for awhile.

We will be having bench mark testing during the week of September 8-11.  
Please have your child on 
time for the testing, I hope that you and your family have a safe labor day 
weekend together.

September 9, 2009
Parents since the beginning of the year we have been working on the Unit 
Fractions and Decimals.  The students have learned how to write numbers in 
expanded form, standard form, and exponential form.  They also have learned 
to change fractions to decimals and percents and to change percents to 
fractions and decimals.  We are now learning how to compare and order 
decimals and fractions.

September 11, 2009
Today, Parents the students had their first quiz of the year.  They should be 
bring the quiz home on 
Wednesday, September 16 to be signed by you and return to me the next day.

September 15, 2009
Parents I was out on Monday & Tuesday this week because I had to take my 
mother for her cancer 
treatment.  I will be back on Wednesday Sept. 16.

September 22, 2009
Parents I was out today because of a doctors appointment.  He told me that I 
had to schedule test for next week. So I know I will be out a couple of days 
next week.

Today I gave each student a progress report to share with their parents.  
Please check your childs progress report to see how they are doing.

September 30, 2009
Parents when a student puts the wrong date on the homework or does not put 
any date on their 
homework assignment.  I will circle the date so that they can put the correct 
date and turn the 
homework back into me for full credit.  If there is no date, I put a question 
mark and the student 
must put the correct date and hand the homework back in to get the full 
credit.  I have explained all 
of this to the students during the first two weeks and also to the parents 
that came to back to school 
night in September.

October 2, 2009
Parents I was out on Oct. 1 & 2 because of a medical procedure that had to be 
done.  I expect to 
return on Monday October 5

The past two days the internet at school and at my house is not working.

October 8, 2009
The students took a test on the unit fractions and decimals today.  I also 
gave them progress reports this week.  You should check with your child to 
see how they are doing in math.  Our next Unit will be Integers.

Parents I was out sick on October 9 and 12.  Today, Class 711 was very 
uncooperative.  They would not behave after lunch and refused to stop talking.

Parents I have uploaded the students grades on my web page.  You need to get 
your child's 
password that I gave them so that you can check their grade.
1st # is the points your child earned
2nd # is the points that they could have earned
3rd # is their average at this time.
Also students will be given a report on Monday showing what assignments that 
they have not 
completed.  Students who do not get a report have no missing assignments.  
All students were given 
their test grade from October 8 to bring home and be signed by a parent and 
returned to me.

Parents today I gave each student their missed assingments for my class.

October 22, 2009
Parents today I told each class that they need to complete by October 31.  
Study Island math pretest, 
and Objective 2a and 2b.  I will count this as a class work assignment worth 
10 Points.

Parents I uploaded the new grades tonight.  You can check your childs grade 
by putting in their 
password.

November 1, 2009
Parents I will be out for at least 1 week.  I fell down the steps Saturday 
broke my toe and had several stiches close the wound around the broken toe.  
I have to see a specialist.  I have uploaded the latest grades for my 
students today.

November 6, 2009
Today end the first quarter.
Parents I went to the doctor on Thursday and she said that I will be out for 
at least another week.  
They will take out the stiches next week and determine when I will be able to 
return.  Mr. Basmajian 
has been covering some math skills for me.  I hope that my injury heals soon 
and return to help your 
children improve their math skills.  I want to thank those who have sent 
emails to me.

Parents the second quarter began on Monday November 9, 2009
Today, I went to the foot specialist and she is holding me off for another 
two weeks.  I go to her again the Wednesday before Thanksgving to be

First Parents I want to wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving.  The bad news is that I 
saw my foot specialist today and she is holding me off until I see her on December 17, 2009.  She 
said if anyone hit the toe it would come out of place again.
