*Write down everything you know or have heard about Ancient Greece.
Project: (due Friday May 16th)
*Using your essay from the test, write a five paragraph essay in which you
discuss why it is difficult to live on the continent of Africa. Make sure
to include an introduction, 3 body paragraphs that include one reason in
each, and a conclusion.
*We will be completing a peer edit on Wednesday, so make sure to have a
rough draft ready!
Homework #12 (due Thursday, May 15th)
*Assume the role as the leader of one of the four philosophies discussed in
the work packet (Monarchy, Oligarchy, Tyranny, Democracy) and write a speech
in which you echo the philosophy, but do not come out and say what
philosophy you are representing…we will try to guess!!
Homework #13 (Due Friday 5-23)
1. Explain why the following phrase is not necessarily true of Athens and
democracy…”All people have a say in Government”
2. Why is it so important that civilizations value education? Why would
that give the Athenians an advantage over the Spartans?
3. How did the people of Greece honor their gods? Include at least 3
reasons in sentence form.
