As part of classroom procedures, students will be completing a warm-up
activity to start most classes. The warm-up will reinforce past material as
well as introduce students to new topics. I also like to use the warm-up as
a way to gauge how the students are feeling about the class, the school,
their teachers, their surroundings, and many other subjects. Warm-up is a
good way to get the class off to a organized and calm beginning.
Warm-up will be collected and graded as a quiz or homework assignment on a
frequent basis. I do not look for every answer to be 100%
correct, I simply want the students to answer the drill using higher level
thinking.
