Will I be able to print my work?

Yes. However, due to the lack of a color printer all work will be printed in gray scale on a laser 
printer.

What if I missed a direction and start to fall behind?

Simply raise your hand and ask for help. The teacher will quickly get you up to speed.

What if I am not happy with my grade?

You may do the project over and receive a new grade.

How long do I have to make up a missed project?

Missed projects may be made up at any time until quarter grades are due.

Will I be able to play games?

Games are in one of the three 'Rewards' folders. Rewards are for students who have completed a 
project early, received a grade of at least 85, and who have not had a Reward Folder taken away due 
to poor conduct or other infraction of the rules.

Do other schools in the City have a computer lab such as this?

To my knowledge no other school has this set up.

Who works on the Memory Book?

The Memory Book Staff consists of students who have displayed outstanding work habits and 
excellent conduct in all classes throughout the school year.

What 'jobs' will be available for the Memory Book.

Students will take on a many different jobs. These jobs include photographers, page managers, 
assemblers, printers, art/graphic work, cover design and others.

Will I be able to surf the internet?

Use of the internet is by permission only and must be school work related.

What hardware will I learn to use in this lab?

Students will learn or reinforce their knowledge of the computer, keyboard, laser printer and how to 
choose it, a VCR connected from a computer to a TV, the LaserDisc player, the camera, and the 
scanner.

What software will I work with?

Students will learn or reinforce their knowledge of AppleWorks, Microsoft Office, Kids Animation 
Maker, GraphicConverter, Scanner Twain and related software, HyperStudio, PowerPoint, and The 
Print Shop  are among the leading software applications that will be used.

Will I be able to bring in a disc with work for another class recorded on it?

Yes. If the work is saved properly and the teacher's computer can read it, you will be able to print it. 
This is done only by special permission and with the teacher's help.

Will I be able to do my computed classwork at home?

This can only be done if the student has a Macintosh and related applications at home. Otherwise, 
work can be done in the morning before school or after school before the lab is shut down for the 
evening.

Will I be able to do projects for my other classes in the lab?

Yes. Part of the program includes interdisciplinary activities. These programs are planned by your 
teachers and you will receive two grades. A grade for 'how' you did it will be part of your comtuter 
class grades and 'what' you did will be part of your grades from the cooperating teacher.

Yes. If all assigned work is completed amd it is school appropriate.
