Mr. Kincaid desires that you maximize your potential and collaborate
together to learn about biology. I will teach your job is to learn as much
as you can giving me your best effort. Mr.Kincaid will show grace, show some
charm, give respect,have integrity, show hospitality and have tact.
While in Mr.Kincaid's class strive to understand the following:
1. To always be the most honest and best student you can be.
2. Pay attention for visual clues of non approving situations.Please raise
your hand if you have a question about biology homework, Labs,
projects,general questions about biology by all means ask.
3. Disruptive behavior will not be allowed. Socialziation should be kept to
a mimimum while within the classroom. I understand that you can multitask,
practice that skill somewhere else. 1st time will be a warning, 2nd time will
be a brief detention at the end of the class, 3rd time 1/2 lunch detention,
etc.
4. No "horseplay," such as running, pushing, hitting, throwing things, or
grabbing people, this includes their belongings and school property.
5. Stay seated unless directed to move. Keep your feet on the floor.
Sitting and pulling on the furniture, breaks the furniture and causes harm.
(ie. chairs, desks, lab tables,or other room fixtures).
6. Please handle lab table fixtures with care(ie. water faucets or
handles, and gas valves). Turn on the water only if you are told to do so.
Obey all lab safety rules at all times.
7. Writing on school property isn't allowed it is unsightly and damages
materials you.
8. Arrive on time and enter the room in an orderly manner. Students
must be seated and prepared to work when the bell rings. Dismissal
from class will not occur until everyone is in their seats at the last bell.
I will try to teach to the bell.That means gatherings by the door or the
back table toward the end of the period isn't allowed: only four (4) at a
time may sit at the back table during lab time.
9. It is possible that a person may disagree/may get emotionally upset
with me. If this happens to you, you are invited to follow directions:
...Handle these things after class or after school. believe me, the rules
are for you and the class's own well-being.
10. No Food, Hats, Walkmen, cell phone etc. Dress appropriately to learn not
to make a statement. Headphones, cell phones, aren't allow and will be
confiscated.
11. Inappropriate language and insults, between students, will not be
tolerated; that also includes on-going discussions of sex, drugs, and
violence!
