Job Opportunity in Research An NIH project is looking for motivated high school juniors and seniors to do sickle cell disease research in the summer. See Mr. Morton for more information. 2010 Women's Science Forum On Sat. March 6, 2010, Space Telescope Science Institute will be hosting the Women's Science Forum. Girls will take part in hands-on activities related to science and engineering. They are encouraged to ask questions and explore the opportunities in a number of science and engineering fields. The fee is $10 per child. Science and Engineering Appretice Program It provides an opportunity for students to participate in research at a Department of Navy (DoN) laboratory during the summer. The goals of this program are to encourage careers in science and engineering, further students education, and make them aware of DoN Research and technology efforts, which can lead to employment within the DoN.
