I grew up near Flint, Michigan and am a graduate of Central
Michigan University. At CMU I earned my bachelor of science in education,
majoring in science and minoring in geography. I am certified to teach all
subjects K-6 in Michigan and K-8 in Maryland and am working toward my
masters of arts in teaching as well as National Board Certification through
National University.
I taught in Warren Consolidated Schools as well as Gratiot and Isabella
counties in Michigan. Prior to teaching at HCMS, I spent several years
teaching at Hamilton Middle School in Baltimore City where I taught 6th,
7th, and 8th grade advanced academic science. There I was also the team
leader and National Academic League coach. This is my fourth year teaching at
Harper's Choice Middle School, having taught science, reading, and
gifted and talented resource in the past.
